Bodywork

My client originally came in with gluteal tendinopathy and had been feeling back on track with training. This time she was experiencing nerve pain in the hip and leg and soft tissue pain around QL, Glutes and Sartorius into the calf, from driving many miles (suspected clutch use and uncomfortable seat position). Also Jaw tension and locking. During the session I applied Bowen to the left side spine, glutes, Sartorius, following guided breathwork. I placed cups on the reflex and acupuncture points on the foot. After hands on manipulation to left side, I used the ultrasound machine on two areas to break up adhesions, then applied 25mml acupuncture needles to QL, SIJ and sartorius and 40mml needles to glutes & hamstrings. Whilst the needles did their magic, i applied soft tissue massage to the shoulders and balanced the whole back line.

Turning the client over, I worked the Sartorius and hip, released the diaphragm and finished with TMJ release.

I suggested the client invests in a car wedge seat to change the position and had a rest day from gym work, and did a gentle walk instead. She could start the rehab exercises in a few days.

Lymphatic Bodywork

My client has Colitis and long Covid. We are working with the lymphatic system as a primary focus to improve brain fog, reduce vulnerability to viruses and to reduce pain. This gentle treatment starts by stimulating the lymph nodes in the auxiliary area (armpits), then applying light flowing cupping, brushing and bone tapping to the arms and clearing proximal to distal. moving to the neck and face, I used a combination of hot stones, cupping and a Quarts roller, draining back to the lymph nodes in the armpits. I then applied bone tapping to the sternum, ribs, clavicle and the arms and cleared to the armpits again.

Moving to the stomach, I stimulated the nodes in the armpits and then the groin, applied gentle hot stones, dry brushing massage and then static cups.

Stimulating the groin with assisted hip flexion to squeeze the nodes, I applied cupping, brushing and massage to the lymph drains in the inner thighs, and worked down to the feet. I finished with bone tapping, removing the stomach cups, and clearing one more time before turning my client over.

If I had more time I would of applied further brushing and flowing cupping to the back, but I only had time to finish with lymphatic Bowen to the back.

The feedback from this treatment is generally that individuals feel great, vibrant, focus, improved digestive, hormonal issues and reduced sinus conditions and soft tissue pain.
