The body in conversation

Advanced Bodywork. This CPD course combines, recorded learning and three face-to-face practical days. We’ll explore ideas together online, with recorded material to work through in your own time.

Then we’ll take those ideas into the practical room: finding anatomy, developing our touch, trying different approaches and reflecting on what we notice. WHAT WE EXPLORE

The person at the heart of the work -A person-centred philosophy, thoughtful assessment and SOAP notes. Assess, apply and reassess, with reflective practice woven throughout. Pain science, fascia, touch and the nervous system: exploring how these inform our understanding of the person beneath our hands. Gentle mobilisation, muscle energy techniques (MET), cranial nerves and movement, TMJ and the whole person, and breath-led bodywork. 10 pre-recorded presentations and three intensive, hands-on practical days. Payment plans available I also teach this Advanced Bodywork material as part of the VTCT Level 4 diploma programmes at Holistic Therapies Academy in Bideford.
