This four-day course is for people who have qualified in L3 massage and would like to start working using hot stones for deeper work.
The heat from the stones allows deep and effortless penetration of muscles and fascia without causing pain and discomfort which enables deeper work that feels nurturing and relaxing to the client as well as saving the therapists hands.
The objectives for the four days are to feel confident in:
- Postural assessments
- Using hot stones safely
- Deep Tissue techniques: STR, NMT, fascial release, compression and joint mobilisations using hot stones
- Be able to adjust the treatment for relaxation purposes and to give deep tissue treatments to relieve pain, discomfort and tension related stress

I've just completed an accredited Hot Stone Massage course with Sam and can’t recommend her enough. She has a wealth of knowledge and a brilliant teaching style. I've come away feeling confident with the routine and very excited to introduce the new massage style to my clients. I've already signed up to do the Indian Head Massage course too! Thank you Sam! Sam has been a self-employed tutor for me for five years. She has consistently trained in CPD courses to offer a wide range of diplomas. She is very self-motivated and passionate.
Her teaching style gets the best out of people, especially those lacking in confidence where she is very accommodating to individual needs and supports the students 100%.Karen Ashton
I felt Sam was the right person to teach me massage, as she has a relaxed approach which is professional. When I had questions or didn’t understand an area within the course or demonstration, Sam has the ability and deep knowledge to be able to reword and show in another way which could be understood. Sam’s approach feels as if she is listening to you and instils confidence. I would highly recommend Sam as a tutor and the courses that she offers.Luciana Corp
If you want to learn massage, I cannot recommend Sam enough. I have been lucky enough to have had Sam as my tutor on a number of courses and always come away learning much more than the course promised. She is passionate and relaxed and that comes across in her teaching. Cannot recommend highly enough.Denise Paynter
The sports therapy course is so concise that it’s fool proof and although I assumed everyone was taught in the exact same way, you find yourself very quickly working towards your client’s needs rather than producing a standardised routine for the millionth time. Work doesn't get boring. Also, you still find yourself supported after training and wanting to do more courses.Sophie Bertoli
I have trained with Sam on a number of courses. Sam has a great relaxed and enjoyable way of teaching. Her knowledge of muscles and the body is vast. It is obvious that Sam has invested a lot of time into studying and she teaches to your individual needs.Nick Tettersell
